National Games for People with Disabilities
Bucharest

20-22 May 2005

The 2nd edition of the National Games for People with Disabilities took place in Bucharest between the 20th and 22nd May 2005. Twelve members of the Lamont Centre took part and altogether there were over 100 participants from all over the country. The accommodation was excellent – the team stayed at the Hotel Olimpia and the weather stayed fine for all the events. The results were excellent and the team won 7 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 3 bronze medals.

Six Clubs took part: Lamont-Cluj, Turda, Lugoj, Galati, Ok Bucharest and Arad, comprising three disciplines: athletics, table tennis and basketball. Unfortunately table tennis took place at exactly the same time as the basketball competition so only four members participated.
